+ Lawful Permanent Residence (Green Card)

We assist qualified candidates in acquiring status as lawful permanent residents.  A permanent resident is someone who has been granted authorization to live and work in the United States on a permanent basis, which does not involve a change in citizenship.  As proof of that status, a person is granted a permanent resident card, commonly called a “Green Card.”  The steps to becoming a Green Card holder (permanent resident) vary by category and depend on whether you currently live inside or outside the United States.  The main categories for obtaining a Green Card are:

  • through family,
  • through a job, and
  • through refugee or asylee status.

However, there are other specified ways to get a Green Card that can be discussed with a candidate if circumstances indicate another available option.
