As a former NCAA collegiate athlete, Kelsey brings to her practice a competitive spirit and unrelenting desire to achieve success for her clients. The consummate “self-starter,” Kelsey began a full-time career in the marketing, public relations, and communications sector in 2015 while simultaneously putting herself through law school. Despite working full time, Kelsey received her J.D. a semester early before successfully passing the February 2020 Ohio Bar Exam. Kelsey joined the firm’s Corporate Law Department in 2020, bringing with her a backdrop of marketing, public relations, and communications skills and experience.
Professional Experience / Focus Areas
Kelsey’s practice focuses primarily on business and commercial transactions as well as mergers and acquisitions. Kelsey also handles a wide array of commercial contract negotiations, including sales of goods, purchasing, and leasing transactions.
Kelsey received her Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law and graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Kelsey worked as a Law Clerk at Children’s Law Center, assisting in legal research, trial preparation, and drafting memoranda and response briefs. Prior to the Children’s Law Center, Kelsey worked as a Law Clerk in the foreclosure department at a law firm, drafting deeds and reviewing real estate transactions.
Before law school, Kelsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Tampa. During college, she was on the women’s golf team and served on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.
Kelsey is originally from Northern Kentucky but now is a resident of Dayton. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys running, bouldering, golfing and reading literary fiction.
