Masallay joined the firm’s Litigation Department in 2019 after a successful summer in the firm’s Summer Associate Program. Masallay primarily focuses on matters involving business and commercial disputes, civil litigation, and employment law.

Professional Experience / Focus Areas

Masallay earned her undergraduate degree in Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati. Thereafter, she attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where she earned her J.D. in 2019. During law school, Masallay was an active member of the Black Law Students Association, President of the Truancy Mediation Program, Chief Managing Editor for the Ohio State Criminal Law Journal, and a member of the Civil Rights and Bankruptcy Moot Court Traveling teams.

As a litigation associate, Masallay helps resolve a broad array of complex and diverse legal issues. Masallay’s main objective is to strategically, and effectively, advise clients while zealously advocating on their behalf in order to reach the best outcome possible for their specific needs and goals.

Masallay was admitted into the Ohio Bar in 2019. She is a member of the Dayton Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association – Dayton Chapter, and the National Black Law Students Alumni Association.


Masallay is originally from Sierra Leone, West Africa, but is a native of Columbus, Ohio. When she is not working, Masallay enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her fur-tastic dog, Keio. She is dedicated to building her legal career and is eager to represent and interact with the Dayton community. It is Masallay’s personal and professional goal to continue uplifting and supporting those members of the community who need it the most.
