Overview

As a member of the firm’s Corporate Department, Mitch devotes his time to all kinds of transactional and corporate matters. There is no client too small or too big — Mitch has worked with multi-billion dollar corporations, single-member LLCs, and clients of all sizes in between. Mitch understands that each business has unique needs, and he tailors his practice to meet the client’s individual goals.

While his skill set is diverse, Mitch particularly excels as the firm’s contracts sharpshooter for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial contracts. Mitch also assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, counsels financial institutions and other creditors in a variety of matters, and supports entrepreneurs in business formation, operation, maintenance, and employment matters.

Professional Experience / Focus Areas

Prior to joining SS+D Mitch clerked for the honorable Dennis Adkins at the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. He also practiced law at a firm near Columbus where he represented a wide range of corporate clients. Now, back in his hometown, Mitch enjoys fostering the Dayton business community. Mitch has experience speaking at a number of Chamber of Commerce events and educating local businesses about corporate law and other matters of interest.

A native of Dayton and a Centerville High School graduate, Mitch earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wright State University and his J.D. from The Ohio State University. While in law school, Mitch served as a managing editor of The Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution. He also served as treasurer of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society at Ohio State.

Mitch also supports the Dayton community through pro bono work. On a monthly basis, Mitch coordinates a group of attorneys to assist and participate in the Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project, where Mitch helps indigent individuals with domestic legal issues.
