Overview
Joe is a paralegal in the Litigation Department. He is involved in all aspects of the commercial litigation practice. He is also a fundamental part of SS+D’s immigration law practice. Joe is a team player who enjoys staying up to date with the latest changes in the law and the technological advances that impact the legal community.
Professional Experience / Focus Areas
Joe has been a paralegal since 2010 and joined SS+D that same year after completing an internship program with the firm. He received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from Sinclair Community College, where he had previously earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts.
Joe specializes in the field of eDiscovery and plays a key role in interpreting and organizing all electronic data processed by the litigation group. He is well versed in several aspects of eDiscovery including computer forensics, database management, and the preparation of electronic data for presentation in the courtroom. Joe previously supported a group of four trial attorneys through a complex ERISA matter that was tried for over three months in federal court in Chicago.
Joe’s ten years of experience supporting SS+D’s immigration attorneys have included the successful preparation of numerous petitions and applications submitted to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of Labor, and the Department of State including asylum applications and EB-5 petitions.
Personal
Joe enjoys hiking with his two daughters, live music of all sorts, and is an avid University of Dayton basketball fan.
